Sisällys
1. General provisions
These Terms set out the rules for using MevaNote, available at note.mevasearch.com ("the Service"). The provider is Igor Oprządek, Bągart 14A, Poland, e-mail: mevasearch[at]weborbiton.com.
The Service is part of the MevaSearch ecosystem. The MevaSearch search engine and paid services are governed by separate documents, in particular the MevaSearch Terms. Data processing is described in the MevaNote Privacy Policy.
2. The Service
- The Service is free and requires no account.
- Notes are stored in the local storage of the user’s browser. The provider has no access to them and cannot recover them.
- At the user’s request, a read-only copy of a note can be shared under a unique link.
3. Technical requirements
Using the Service requires an up-to-date web browser with JavaScript and local storage (localStorage) enabled. Private browsing mode may delete notes when the window is closed.
4. Storage and backups
Users are responsible for backing up their notes (the Export notes feature in Settings). Clearing browser data or changing device or browser may result in losing notes.
6. Prohibited content
It is forbidden to share through the Service content that:
- is unlawful, including child sexual abuse material,
- is used for fraud, phishing or distributing malware,
- infringes the rights of others, including copyright and personal rights,
- contains other people’s personal data without a legal basis,
- incites violence or hatred.
Automated overloading of the Service and circumventing its safeguards are also forbidden.
7. Reporting abuse and removing content
Content that violates these Terms or the law can be reported to mevasearch[at]weborbiton.com with the note’s link and the reason. The provider may remove shared notes that violate these Terms or the law and may block link creation in case of abuse.
8. Content from other websites
Images inserted from links are stored on third-party servers and loaded only after the reader agrees. The provider is not responsible for the content or operation of external websites.
9. Rights to content
Users keep all rights to their notes. By sharing a note, the user grants the provider a non-exclusive, free licence solely to the extent needed to store it and display it to people who have the link, for as long as it is shared.
10. Liability
The Service is provided free of charge, "as is". The provider makes every effort to keep the Service running continuously and securely, but does not guarantee its constant availability. To the extent permitted by law, the provider is not liable for the loss of notes stored locally in the browser. This does not exclude or limit consumer rights under mandatory law.
11. Complaints
Complaints about the Service can be sent to mevasearch[at]weborbiton.com. We reply within 14 days.
12. Changes to the Terms
The provider may change these Terms for important reasons (for example changes in law or in the Service’s features). The current version and date of change are shown at the top of this page.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Polish law. This choice of law does not deprive consumers of the protection granted by the mandatory laws of their country of habitual residence.
